Leijailen siinä kohdassa, täytän paikkaa sumulla, jotta näkisin muistot tarkemmin. Täytän tilaa nesteellä, ei toimi sekään. Täytän tilaa voimallani, sitten jotain alkaa näkyä.
Täyttyykö minusta jotain tähän paikkaan, kysyn vieressä olevalta hahmolta.
Kyllä, etkö näe miten hopeaa valutat tänne joka puolelle.

Vai että hopeaa pursuaa altani, ylhäni, keskeltäni, kokonaisvaltaisesti minulta jonnekin muualle. Voimien käyttö tuntuu vierittävän voimaa minuun lisää.

Rata, joka sisälläni kulkee, on vertikaalinen ja teräväkärkinen.

Kuusen kärjet keihästävät ilmaa, sakea uupunut sumu ympäröi meitä. Olemme valmiita, kun minuun on kasvanut osia, ja häneltä poistunut.

Täytämme toisiamme ja imemme toisiltamme epämukavat ja tarpeettomat osat pois.

Katsomme toisiamme silmiin anteliaisuudesta kiitollisena.

Hengitän kehostani ulos tarpeettomat ulokkeet, Olen alkanut hyljeksiä näitä osia jo pitkään ja puhallan niitä pois päin itsestäni.

Irtaimenaaan hilseilee kehoistamme osia irti, ja toisaalla tarttuu paloja, jotka väristen maatuvat kertymiksi raatojemme ylle.

Vedän maasta itseeni jotakin, kun huomaan energian vihlovan allani. Avataan kivi ja katsotaan mitä siellä on. Näin jatkamme paikalla, etsien kohtia jotka ontuvat ja joista päästää irti, antaen toistemme elimiin toisiltamme lihanpaloja. Uutumme kaltaisiksemme, muistuttamaan toisiamme, mutta omalla tahtomallamme tavalla, aina jokin paikka pysyen samana ja tunnistettavana. Jalankärki, korvan nurkat, silmäterät... jostain piirteistä näkee itsemme piirteet, itse tasaisena pysyen, ja joilla hienovaraisesti kuitenkin erotumme toisistamme, silti jatkuvasti liikkuen ja muuntuen, väreillen toistemme välikköihin...

Olen puolikas järvenpinta kun katsot sen reunoilta keskelle.

Katseesi lihas on sisälläni leikaten minusta paloja. Se leikkaa minusta paloja, minusta repeytyy osia sinun katseesi terävästä kärjestä.

HUNAJANJYVÄ

Curating and organizing the groupexhibition and concert series.

1.-31.08.2021, village of Kauttua, Eura

We curated the exhibition and the concert series together with artist Eero Pulkkinen. Looking forward the next one to happen maybe summer 2022.

We also had an artwork in the exhibition together with Eero Pulkkinen, via alias Breakup. The work was called ‘Hylkytavaravalikoima’, you can find it from another section of this website.

In the exhibition, the place, time and situation where the works take place and exist are essential. Hunajanjyvä is located in the village of Kauttua in Eura, in the vicinity of Ruukinpuisto in the old Ironworks district, but also streamed on the Internet. The river flowing from Pyhäjärvi through Ruukinpuisto, and its rapids, divides the space - when viewed from Pyhäjärvi, the Honey Grain remains on the left, Ruukki's heart on the right.

How would we support each other without forgetting the weight of our own histories -

on the other hand - how to take advantage of the gravity of our own history

and make the land more fluid to others

We are at the Lake-

Our ecosystem matters, we breathe each other and on each other.

Let’s recall a moment of an event in life that broke the prevailing system, so to speak, momentarily “watered our lungs”

Sadet Hirsimäki (14.07.1993, Helsinki) works with soft materials, painting and uses curatorial practices and writes poems.

The horror echoing at their artworks is clothed in the world of child-like semi-animal characters and the relationships between them.

Hirsimäki relies on accelerated and paralyzed emotions in their work: characters and materials are layered on different levels, creating a dialogue between the characters’ realities and happenings.

Hirsimäki works mainly in Helsinki and in countryside places in Finland and occassionally also abroad....

Hirsimäki have studied at Aalto University MA programme in Visual Cultures and Curating in Contemporary Art (ViCCA) and has developed an approach extending to materialistic installations and happenings that take whenever different forms with the current project called Hunajanjyvä. At the moment they are working also on paintings that are made into emotionally charged objects at home such old beds.
